I waited until I found one of the Midwest Products Indian Girl canoes on eBay. The instructions for this canoe were to smooth out the exterior and paint it. However, I really liked the look of the natural wood hull. Base Kit(s): Midwest Products Indian Canoe (kit number 981) Finished: June 2008 Modifications/Additions: - built pretty much out of the box, the instructions are very good - display stand and clear Lexan cover were also made (not shown) - one paddle was rounded at the tip, the other was made square - water based varnish used over bare wood Click on Thumbnail to see detailed image.
