| 1967 Ford Custom 500 taxi (Bullitt movie) This is another addition to the collection of the 'Cars of the movie Bullitt', which was released in 1968. The late Robert Duvall was the taxi driver of this car as he drove Steve McQueen around to various locations in San Francisco. This model grafted the roof of an AMT Ford Interceptor Police Car kit (a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500) onto the body of an AMT Ford Galaxie convertible. The actual car in the movie was a Ford Custom 500, which was sold as fleet vehicles to police departments, taxi compnanies, etc. It differs from the Ford Galaxie in having fewer chrome moldings and a simpler interior.
