1967 Ford Custom 500 taxi (Bullitt movie)
This is another addition to the collection of the 'Cars of the movie Bullitt', which was released in 1968.  The late Robert Duvall was
the taxi driver of this car as he drove Steve McQueen around to various locations in San Francisco.

This model grafted the roof of an AMT Ford Interceptor Police Car kit (a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500) onto the body of an AMT Ford
Galaxie convertible.  The actual car in the movie was a Ford Custom 500, which was sold as fleet vehicles to police departments,
taxi compnanies, etc. It differs from the Ford Galaxie in having fewer chrome moldings and a simpler interior.

- rescribed door panel lines to change into a four door
- aftermarket window cranks and interior door handles
- scratchbult one interior door handle and then resin cast 3 copies
- added interior door locks
- modified 1:35 scale 3D printed dog for rear window shelf, as per the movie car

- flocked interior floor
- modified police car radio with wound wire for the microphone
- modified bench seats from Ford Police car kit - narrowed, headrest and roll pattern removed
- custom license plate and bumper sticker to match movie car
- rear part of front bumper opened up and running lights added in openeing

- added radio anttenna
- exterior rear view mirror from parts box
- scratchbuilt taxi light on roof

- photoetch "Custom" script on front quarter panel
- scratchbuilt rear advertising sign frame and advertisement taken from billboard photo found on the internet
- rear bumper section was removed and strip styrene added to trunk
- removed trim on rocker panels
- custom printed license plate
- all decals from Precision Design Co. (https://www.pdc.ca/rr/catalog)
- interior paint is Tamiya acrylic red brown, followed by semi-gloss clear
- grill and panel lines have a Tamiya panel line accent black wash
- exterior crhome trim is a combination of bare metal foil and Molotow chrome
- body paint is Testors Phoenecion yellow, decanted and airbrushed, followed by 1K clear, with some sections polished
